Safeguarding Audit Tool (SAT)

All early years providers are encouraged to complete a regular Safeguarding Audit Tool to review and strengthen their safeguarding and inclusion practices.

We support this process through visits or guidance, helping providers identify actions, check documentation, and ensure procedures are robust. This helps settings maintain high standards, supports self-evaluation, and ensures children are kept safe.

Support for newly registered providers

Early Years and Childcare Advisors provide tailored support to newly registered settings and childminders, helping them build strong foundations from the outset. Through regular contact, visits, and guidance, advisors support providers to develop effective practice, meet statutory requirements, and prepare for their first Ofsted inspection, building confidence and quality over time.

Pre and post- Ofsted inspection support

When a provider is due for inspection, Early Years and Childcare Advisors offer practical support to help them feel confident and well-prepared. This includes guidance on expectations, reviewing practice, and helping leaders reflect on and present the quality of their provision effectively.

Supporting improvement every step of the way

If Ofsted identifies areas for improvement, our team works alongside leaders to create a clear action plan, providing tailored guidance, training, and practical support to help strengthen practice, improve outcomes, and drive sustained improvement.
